Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What will I find at bookstore.bw.edu?
A: A secure shopping place that will allow you more time to do whatever is more important in your day.  <top>
Q: How does it work?
A: Place your order for a reservation and we will let technology help us take care of the rest. Once you register visit our site and fill out the form for a reservation, complete the entire form and submit. Approximately 30 days before the start of the semester we will have the majority of the books in stock. At that time we will begin processing orders, first come first serve, packaging and storing your reservations (you will have the option of shipping your order to an address that you specify). We will inform you when this process is taking place, your order is ready for pick up (or was shipped).  <top>
Q: What if I need to return my book or my schedule changes before you process orders?
A: We pull orders from the current Registrars files therefore the most recent information is available at the time of processing. Our return policy has not changed. Please take the time to review our policy. NOTE: All orders that are left on reserve are refunded and restocked on the first day of class. There will be a $25.00 restocking fee deducted from your refund. <top>
Q: Why should I buy this way?
A: Your college store has all the text materials and related course supplies for your courses. By placing a reservation order you are stepping in line (virtually) for your books. If it is used books you are looking for this is one sure way to be first in line for them. If you request 'used or first available' if there available that is what you will receive. Keep in mind that the best selection of used books comes from our 'buy-backs' (you) and always sell out first. Finally, we process orders when we are less busy giving us more time at the start of classes to take care of all of those special needs that arise.  <top>
Q: What does it mean when there is a note by my course that reads "no information available"?
A: For some reason there is no book information yet for this course. That could simply mean that the decision is not made yet on a title or something as complicated as the original title was not available and a substitute is being chosen. When reserving we will pull what is available at the time we begin pulling orders and note the open item on your order. Once this title becomes available we will contact you about its arrival and ask if you want the book held for you. The same holds true for those who are purchasing and having their books shipped. <top>
Q: Are other on-line services not safe?
A: No. Most offer secure transactions and some even offer free freight. Be cautious though, you may have to shop in several places to find all of your titles. You should also know that there are some review services and bulletin boards available for you to check on those on-line textbook stores.  <top>
Q: You mentioned that I could pick up my books. When?
A: The B-W Bookstore store hours are listed in the FAQ area of this site. <top>
Q: Where is the bookstore located?
A: The store is located on the lower level of the College Union, corner of East Grand and Tressel. View Map/Driving Directions <top>
